RPGDot Game Rating Machine

Wizzban3 has rated the following games:

Betrayal at Krondor: 7/10 points

Betrayl at Krondor was a great RPG. Although the GFX weren t the best the story was very long and quite interesting. If they put in more subquests it would be even more fun. All in all the game is a fine piece of work.

Diablo: 1/10 points

This is no RPG !

Diablo 2: 1/10 points

ITS ALL ABOUT THOSE DAMMED UNIQUE ITEMS ISNT IT !

Diablo 2 - Lord of Destruction: 2/10 points

One Point for the Unique items that made the game worth to be played for a week.

Disciples 2 - Dark Prophecy: 8/10 points

The Game with one of the Best 2D GFX ever. Really looks great. Alas the story is a bit boring if you play the whole game. Some clans have quite equal storylines. Combat could have benn better too. Nevertheless the game made a lot of fun.

Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion: 9/10 points

stunning game with the best graphics i ve ever seen in a rpg. but this game has much more to offer. like a nice storyline where many unexpected things happen. lots of freedom in what you are able to do. play the good or the evil guy or combine both to get the most of the game. venture through lots of dungeons and caves meet creatures you ve never seen before and fight them in melee, ranged or magic combat. worship the gods and aquire special quests from them that give you unique items that cause weird effects. I hope there will be a major addon with a new storyline tree soon.

Fallout - A Post Nuclear Adventure: 10/10 points

One of the Best RPGs ever. Due to its no comparable style Fallout is a class of its own. Great Story, Characters, Combat System. Thousands of Quests and lots of Gore ;P

Fallout 2: 10/10 points

Fallout 2 is even a bit better than Fallout 1 due to even more quests, towns, weapons and NPCs. The Story is a fine piece of work and the game makes fun for years. I play it several times every year to get a flashback to the time where games were made with more than a 3d engine.

Fallout Tactics - The Brotherhood of Steel: 7/10 points

I was expecting less after i played the DEMO. But they really made the game playable and quite fascinating at the end. Yep this isn t Fallout itself but all those items you come across make the game very enjoyable.

Gothic: 3/10 points

I liked the Story, the Characters, the Quests and the GFX and Sounds. But the Engine itself was the worst i´ve ever seen. 20 FPS isn t enough PIRANHA BYTES !!!!. And the Ending was too obvious. Maybe Gothic 2 will be more complex.

Jagged Alliance 2: 10/10 points

I don t have a game i could compare this one with, besides of JA1 / DG and JA2:UB. Maybe Fallout Tactics ? Nah, not really. It isn t only a RPG, no it is MUCH more than that. Totally excellent combat strategies possible, a quite huge variety of items and a neverending fun factor make this game one of my favorite games i ve ever played. The Main Story is quite simple but many subquests raise the players´ morale due to nice items to be found after finishing em. Also runs with todays PCs without making a problem. Jagged Alliance GOLD (JA2 + JA2:UB) isn t really worth to be bought by people who have both of the games already.

Jagged Alliance 2 - Unfinished Business: 8/10 points

Interesting NPCs, especially the ones from the past parts. Tough Challange for Beginners that didn t play JA2 and aren t used to the Combat Tactics of the game. The Game has even more weapons that JA2 but you ll never be able to use them all due to the length of the game. :(

Lord of the Rings: 9/10 points

Loved to play the game a long time ago. The storyline was very long and never got boring. But it wasn t easy to keep track and don t get lost in some of the game parts. I liked the Characters and the Dialogs at that time. Even the GFX was nice for that age.

Might & Magic 1 - Secret of the Inner Sanctum: 9/10 points

One of my first rpgs. great game. lots to do and a large world to explore. at that time i couldn t figure out the complete story though but had much fun with all those encounters and special locations like "demons conference" etc.

Siege of Avalon: 2/10 points

I liked the game when i played it the first time. The GFX reminded me to U8 a bit. But the story was boring, the dialogs were boring and the whole game got boring at the end. This game is for people who like to play barbie with their characters :P

Ultima 8 - Pagan: 10/10 points

OK OK. This isn t Ultima 7 Folks. It lost much of its ancestor. BUT this Game makes a lot of fun and its story line is most fascinating to me. The Main Quests are like a Chapter each. Every Element has its own Chapter.Without the Patch those Jump´n´Run Sequences were very annoying. The GFX, the SFX and the MUSIC (especially MIDI) give the game a perfect atmosphere. The Dialogs were great, but some Quests had an open end. Wished that Ultima8 Part2 "LOST VALE" was finished ;(

Ultima 9 - Ascension: 6/10 points

The Story got lost with that girl. Reminded me to Monkey Island in some way at the End of the Game :D. But it was fun at least exploring all the dungeons and train the character using some tricks possible with that engine :D

Wizardry 7 - Crusader of the Dark Savant: 10/10 points

This Game was and still is Unique in its complex and fascinating Storyline. Although Wizardry 8 has better GFX, Wizardry 7 will always be the Best Game in the Series.

Wizardry 8: 9/10 points

Wizardry 8 was successful in showing people what a fine Team Sir-Tech is. They didn t just make the game look like the best First Person RPG ever, they have also included a story this kept me up for months playing it again and again. The Grand Finale of the Game, it was one of the RPG Endings that didn t disappoint me at all. In Most Games the Ending isn t as you would like it to be. Not in Wizardry 8. If i was a Rich man, i would spent my money on people like Sir-Tech. I HOPE THAT SIR-TECH WILL "SURVIVE" THE CURRENT SITUATION and will complete Jagged Alliance 3 at least :D Best of Luck

World of Warcraft: 3/10 points

the game has lots to offer but once you ve been nearly everywhere its just boring. all you can do then is lvl other classes up to 60. most of the game is item looting and visit the same dungeons all the time which is, like it was in diablo, deadly boring. the community even makes that game worse. most of them behave like greedy childs selling their best friends for items. wow is a wonderful example how greed puts groups together that don t work right.
