While the Black Isle Studios label will likely stick around at publisher Interplay, it seems clear that the actual internal RPG studio has effectively been shut down with the layoffs in December of nearly all the team members. The final game from the studio, the console action-RPG sequel Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II is due for release later this month and HomeLAN got a chance to play a late beta build of the Xbox version of the game (it will also be released on the PS2).
