8/10 is the verdict for 'The Bard's Tale' in Techconnect's review:
Some games specialize in astounding graphics engines that bring amazing worlds to life before their players' very eyes. Others conjure up complex societies with intricate rules and realistic interactions, to develop unforgettable storylines that sear the mind with passion. Others yet rely on intellectual challenges that grab a man's pride and mind and won't let go until every drop of brain juice has been squeezed out. The Bard's Tale does snark. Forget dashing heroes and charming damsels in distress, this is the tale of one bitter, malignant, base scoundel of a man who's just too cool for words. Injecting some sarcasm into a game to fake detachment from cliches is one thing, but dedicating an entire production to the art of masterfully ripping into everything in sight with ferocious sarcasm, with a main character without a single redeeming feature, that's unique.
