Kytel's group found themselves in an ambush set by the cunning Vhuul. With no way out, their fate seemed to be sealed. As we rejoin Kytel and his companions, they are surrounded by the advancing Vhuul.

From above, a blinding blue light proceeded by an earth shaking rumble soared over the cornered group. The expedition's Shardship appeared directly above the treetops. Its appearance sent the Vhuul fleeing for safety, opening a route of escape for Kytel's group. It appeared that the Vhuul were terrified by the vessel. The enormous flying shape with blindingly blue Ankhstones hanging beneath it looked very alarming indeed as it cleaved a path through the thick mist.

The group immediately set course towards the descending Shardship, unsure how long the Vhuul would stay distracted. The craft descended and hovered in the air above the gorge to allow the group to board. As soon as they all were on board, the captain gave orders to set course for Quarterstone.
