The Dragon Empires Q&A #10 has been published at RPGVault. They asked a couple of people from Codemasters what surprised them most during the development of Dragon Empires. Here's what Associate Producer David Smith had to say:
I suppose the one thing about Dragon Empires that has surprised me most is the sheer variety of things that must be created for the game. The development environment that I was previously used to really only generated two product types; program code or control language to run the code. Dragon Empires must pull together program code with art work and animation, it must interface with the scenery engine and the static art work (buildings, etc.). All of this must interact seamlessly and error-free under an infinite variety of circumstances. With this in mind, I am finding the development of these product types and the evolution of the game to be fascinating. |
