We already mentioned a few weeks ago that the October issue of PC Gamer magazine covers a Lazarus interview along with 2 exclusive screenshots, but I finaly laid hands on it myself. Poject lead Ian Frazier expands on the added content and the adaptions they made to the engine. We were happy to read that they aim for a release Q1 2004.
Ian Frazier: The hard part was converting the Dungeon Siege stat-skill ruleset for combat into something more like the original Ultima V. After changing over the basic combat system, we´ve added new features that gamers have come to expect in a modern RPG - primarily trainable skills that give your character bonuses in a variety of area´s, form lock-picking to regenating mana. |
