RPGDot Game Rating Machine

Torbin has rated the following games:

Dark Age of Camelot: 3/10 points

A beautiful world packed with absolutly no depth. DAoC had many interesting aspects, Classes were unique, and well balanced in general... but you had the few that stood out, or just made you cry. PvP had an interesting twist, but didn't live out because you had to be a high level stealther in order to last long. 3 months ago, I would have rated this a 5, but the developers constantly mess things up, by focusing on all the whiners in the community, and not fixing the actual problem itself. I'm sure in three more months, I would rate this a 1. It was a good idea, but in the final draft, it just didn't have the ingredients to make this game worth the money.

Elder Scrolls 3 - Morrowind: 9/10 points

A beautiful world, interesting non-liniar story. This is what many would remember Daggerfall by... however, Morrowind adds all that, but minus the bugs. The world is huge, concidering how very small every other modern day RPG is. The only real noticable downside, is the lack of life. If Gothic and Morrowind had a child, it would be flawless.

Gothic: 6/10 points

At first, I was caught up with how deeply developed this game was, every NPC had a life, they ate, slept, talked... the world was beautiful, combat wasn't too increadably difficult. But after the first few hours, it got dry, very dry. The interface was ugly, but simple, the combat became repetitive and boring, and what you hoped would be a huge world, was covered in about a half an hour. Oh, and there were bugs... not many, but they hurt the gameplay a noticable amount (from odd glitches, illegible inventory... to frustraiting lock-ups and reboots). This title was basicly the "I'm waiting for Morrowind" title.

Ultima 7 - The Black Gate: 10/10 points

This game, was the king of CRPG's for the longest time (and some would even say, it still holds the title). This product, along with Wing Commander were the pinical of Origins success. Fully interactive world, a step up by introducting real-time combat, and a deep, twisted plot that kept you intrested.
