A the title suggests, PC.IGN has whipped up a preview of Obsidian's Star Wars KotOR II: The Sith Lords, having played from the beginning for around six hours. Here's the intro:
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is widely regarded as one of the Star Wars games of all time. Normally a sequel to a game like KOTOR would have me salivating for a chance to give it some quality playtime. Instead of being exited for Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, I was concerned the first time I popped the game into my Xbox. The original was one of the great RPGs of all time, but it was now in the hands of an untested developer, Obsidian Entertainment. With the same engine and relatively the same gameplay, KOTOR II could easily have been a let down. Six hours in and one out of seven planets down and I have to say that I actually like KOTOR II better than the original. Heresy. Blasphemy. Call it what you will, but I played pretty much six straight hours, late into the night, forgoing Halo 2, because I am hooked.
