Video Game News is the latest site offering a review of Neverwinter Nights. No numerical rating, but Thumbs Up after an overall very praising evaluation of BioWare's RPG, with one caveat:
My only real complaint about this game is all the reading you have to do. There is so much dialog to go through and some of it just fluff that it becomes aggravating. Frequently on quests you’ll need to question people to find things. It would have been great that if the people that had no new information would have nothing in the dialog box or tell you they told you everything already. IN a game I really don’t want to spend time reading, if I wanted that I’d plat Zork. You’ll even pick up books and end up reading about the back-story! It’s too much and you’ll spend a bit of time clicking through most of it to get to what you want. It really should have been spoken so it wasn’t so tedious to go through. But that’s really my only issue. Sure there are few other things but they in no way hurt the gaming experience.
