Nothing is more boring in MMORPGs than the leveling treadmill. People want the feeling of progress – that they are getting somewhere. Often times, in other MMORPGs, a person needs to level four to five times before they receive new skills or spells. Or they stare at a group of bubbles that seems to never move, no matter how many monsters they kill. When WoW journals first started coming out, people began asking – is WoW the same way? Are you on the leveling treadmill? Do you have the feeling of progress or frustration?
