Lionheart Item Feature 5
2003-04-14
Lionheart is a computer role playing game that is being developed by Reflexive Entertainment in conjunction with Black Isle Studios. The game is an original title which uses an updated version of the SPECIAL character development system (from Fallouts 1 and 2) in a quasi-historical medieval Europe. Lionheart diverges from traditional high fantasy by placing the player on Earth in the 16th century in which history has taken a different path and magic has been released upon the world. Using a mix of historical and fictional locations and characters, the player progresses through a deep story while advancing through the classless character system.
In this new series of articles, designers of the game will introduce several items from the game
|
Sword of Kublai Khan
Grasping this sword gives the wielder a feeling of power and unrivaled domination. The blood of thousands stains this blade and this shadowy weapon gives +2 to Luck and +10 to the wielder's One-Handed Skill. Its dark history and enchantments may also make others react negatively towards its owner. The blade does 4-13 points of slashing damage.

Scepter of the Chambers
A small inscription down the side reads, "Crafted to renew and destroy the Magic Wells". This is used to create and destroy the traps that the Inquisition has placed within their Confessional Chambers to prevent magic from being wielded by tainted prisoners. When used as a club, it is a One-Handed weapon that does 1-4 points of crushing damage.

Large Shield of Iron Cunning
This shield grants its bearer +6 Fire and Cold Resistance and 11 One-Handed Melee and Two-Handed Melee skill points. (Developer's Note: The exact amount of Fire Resistance, Cold Resistance and One-Handed and Two-Handed skill bonus is determined by the power of the individual when found. Exact game numbers will vary, depending upon how powerful the character was when the item was discovered).
