There's an article over at PC Magazine about "Indie Games", games made by independent game developers with minimal budgets. It gives a short review of 5 different Indie Games, including our beloved (it's hated by some, loved by others; I certainly belong to the latter) A Tale in the Desert. Snip:
Visually, A Tale in the Desert is not as lush as some of the more advanced 3-D online games, but it's certainly attractive. And while some corner cutting is evident, as in dialog boxes to indicate limits of movement instead of character animations, the game is so engrossing that such detractions are easy to ignore. |
