Another interview about Warhammer Online is up at WOZone; the interview partner is Robin Dews and here's one of his answers:Mowgz: Which kinds of animals/ beasts can you buy to act as a form of transport? from dogs for the Halflings, to perhaps something larger and more monstrous than the original horse?(for the masters of the Dark Arts).
Robin Dews: Like every other element of the game, the ability to train and ride a mount will be a skill that will have to be unlocked by joining the appropriate career(s). Once they are opened, each player will have up to two ‘pet’ slots into which they can recruit animals – dogs, cats or horses. The dogs and cats are largely there for colour, but can be trained to follow simple commands – ‘get him boy!’ However, horses can be used as a form of rapid transport for the players and if you have sufficient wealth, a second horse can be used as a ‘mule’ to carry items, equipment or tradable goods.
We won’t be having Halfling riding dogs – that would just be silly – and we have no current plans for including monstrous creatures in this first version of the game. | Source: RPGVault |
