good game, but could have been better, with some tweaks in the grpahics engine. cities tned to be quite sterile!

Great graphics. Other than that, most of it is boring and repetitive.

a solid rpg.

Summoner is an adventure game, rather than an RPG (although it does have quite good character development). It is without a doubt one of the more fun games I have played, despite it being a very linear game. The game mechanics are very good, the storyline is excellent (I was really thrown by the major plot twist halfway through - nearly had to give up because the way I had developed my characters didn't cater for it at all). I also found the graphics to be very well done, despite not generally liking rendered-on-the-fly 3D. I'm actually replaying Summoner at the moment. Even though the storyline does not change, I've found it has a surprisingly high level of replayability (3rd time in a year - that's well beyond any other game I bought in tha past year other than Arcanum).

This is the closest thing to an RPG that I have seen for any of the next generation systems becouse you do have to do some thinking and the hidden schene in the credits is to damn funny. Lol. Still, I wonder what ever happened to games like DragonWarrior and Final Fantacy for the NES.

this game was simple but fun.

good gfx but the control is bud, the story is stupid and the gameplay is horrible....

Gorath has rated 7/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Gorath)

With a faster pace and less walking this could have been more than just another average RPG. A wasted chance.

Motoki has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Motoki)

I really enjoyed this game. The story and mythology were very interesting, I also liked having lots of side quests and lots of npcs to talk to as well as seeing lots of interesting locales. The couple of sneaking segments ala Metal Gear were fun too. The only slight let down was in the second half of the game there was a lot less npc interaction.

It is a linear game and perhaps should be called an adventure game. But it does feature a complex character advancement system. You have your plethora of swords hammers mallets and shields. As a game it stumbles on the graphics (the results of a midcourse dumbing down for ps2 and then 3/4 course decision to release it for both) the Camera angle is annoying. It even features four powerful rings and four evil riders! But 16 hours into a myriad pf backstabbing cheating lying betrayal and failure you realize this is a different game. The story, one of the deepest and most involving, resurects Summoner and makes it memorable. Pay the five ten dollars and pick it up off ebay.

It's not bad, but it's not good either

hone has rated 6/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from hone)

Very repetitive and silly side quests where you should have to kill dozens of respawned monsters.

Sherrin has rated 9/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Sherrin)

I liked Summoner. Good graphics, if rather bland, good characters, good storyline. Looking foward to Summoner II

Good game. I would personally consider it an adventure game with characrer development, but oh well. Very enjoyable. Music was awesome. Note: PS2 version, computer version is worse I hear.

Crash1912 has rated 8/10 points (Click here to see more Reviews from Crash1912)

Solid RPG. Everything I could imagine was well done. Combats, story, character development. I also liked the graphics in the 3D world. I picked it up in a store for only 1.99€. I expected everything, but not such a good game.
