Gamer's Pulse has put up a nicely structured beta journal from their first experiences in Blizzard's 'World of Warcraft'.After a long wait, I finally received what I had so anxiously been awaiting: an e-mail from Blizzard notifying of my entry into the World of Warcraft beta. After three long years of drooling over every bit of information, I would finally get a chance to play at home on my computer. I received my e-mail in what I think was a third wave of e-mails, so I was not among the first group of testers, but fairly close as the beta was only a week old. For those of you who know nothing of the World of Warcraft, I feel for you. Basically, it is a MMORPG set in the Warcraft world. There have been a number of Warcraft games in the past, the latest being the hugely successful Warcraft III and its expansion pack. You have your choice of eight character races and a multitude of professions to choose from. |
