With Shadowlands, Funcom is changing the face of Anarchy Online. In addition to a very deep story which players will learn more about as they progress through the Shadowlands, the entire game has been revamped. Rubi-Ka will remain as it always has, but in Shadowlands, almost nothing is as it was. For example, Shadowlands has no mission system. It is task and quest based. There are seven very distinct themes and players will have numerous choices about how to progress through the fairly linear content. Certain tasks must be completed in order to move on to the next layer, but the tasks will vary depending on a player's faction and the choices that player makes.
