RPGDot Game Rating Machine

Soulman has rated the following games:

Betrayal at Krondor: 8/10 points

Classic game with a good chapter-based story and plenty of fun exploration.

Deus Ex: 9/10 points

Almost perfect blend of action, adventure and RPG elements. Forces player to make real choices which impact the story. Can be played as more of a sneaker than an action game. I can't wait for Deus Ex 2.

Dungeon Master: 10/10 points

Maybe the best Ultima. Non-linear and with great depth and story. Britannia really seemed alive... The only flaw IMO is the chaotic combat, but that's not enough to bring the score down.

Fallout - A Post Nuclear Adventure: 10/10 points

Great game with an original setting (for a computer game, anyhow). For me, though, the excitement wore off after a while as I found the story a bit weak. Still, it's a classic and a milestone in CRPG design.

Gothic: 9/10 points

Nice setting and story, open-ended, smart NPCs, beautiful landscapes... great game. Story gets too linear after a while, though. Interface takes a while to get used to, but actually works fine.

Planescape: Torment: 10/10 points

The macabre, yet beautiful, fantasy setting and brilliant storytelling makes this one of my favorite games ever. Amazing! You have to enjoy reading to enjoy this game, though.

Quest for Glory 1 - So You Want to be a Hero?: 9/10 points

Fun adventure/RPG hybrid from Sierra. You play as a thief, fighter or magic user, and there are multiple solutions to most problems. The series as a whole is also great fun.

System Shock: 10/10 points

Classic 1st person sci-fi/horror game. One of the best games ever made. Make sure you play the CD version with full voices (SHODANs voice is incredible)! Sort of an RPG in disguise...

Thief - The Dark Project: 10/10 points

Brilliantly designed 3D sneaker. Too many labyrinth-like levels, but otherwise perfect. Not an RPG, though.

Thief 2 - The Metal Age: 9/10 points

Almost as great as the original, although not quite as scary.

Ultima 7 - Serpent Isle (Sequel): 9/10 points

Incredibly rich story, but a bit too linear for my tastes. The last truly great Ultima.

Ultima 8 - Pagan: 8/10 points

Disappointing as an Ultima, but still a good game with a good plot and interesting magic system. Somewhat underrated. Make sure you get the patch, it really changes the gameplay for the better (makes the annoying jumping puzzles easier).

Ultima Underworld 1 - The Stygian Abyss: 10/10 points

A true classic. 'Nuff said.

Ultima Underworld 2 - Labyrinth of Worlds: 10/10 points

My favorite game. Gets everything right.
