The next review of Sid Meier's 'Pirates!' can be found over at FileFront who awarded the game a score of 4/5.
What is it about this game that makes you feel like a pimp? Probably the way it makes you feel after you conquer everything, including the ladies.

The newly released remake of Sid Meier’s Pirates! is solid, and includes everything we loved about the original with style, personality and finesse. There is a very wholesome appeal to the game, and what really sticks is its character. And aside from the content, the engine is so fluid it approaches flawlessness, with the exception of a few here and there.
