Multiplayer UK has written a review of Asheron's Call 2: The Fallen Kings and rated the game 8.5/10. Their final words:
From a newbies point of view, I really liked Asheron’s Call 2. It’s easy to get into and doesn’t restrict you to one course of character development. A lot of attention has been made to try and make this game very simple and accessible to people. A lot of things have been stripped out (like ammunition for bows) to allow people to just get on with the fun stuff like blowing monsters up with an explosion spell or setting them alight with a fire arrow. Whether or not this will end up patronising the hardcore players? I don’t know. As with all MMORPG’s the game ships with one free month to give people a trial period after which point a monthly fee is deducted from your credit card. Incidentally you will need a credit card when setting up your account to begin playing even during your free month period.
