Sigil's Vanguard: Saga of Heroes utilizes a new type of classing system. The game is described as having a distinct “depth” to it because it separates and capitalizes on the three different major elements of its game play: Adventuring, Diplomacy, and Crafting. These three are known as Vanguard's “Spheres,” and each Sphere has it's entirely own set of classes and game play. It is even possible in some spheres to either multi-class or further specialize. The three spheres are:
