It has been rated with 3.7 out of 5 points, and here's why (snippet): In the end Warcraft III will sell very well and will be all the rage for some time, but in the end it will not leave a mark on the genre. Why? Well, simple. Warcraft III does nothing to push the genre forward - instead in many ways it is a step backward. It would be absolutely great had it been released a couple years ago but it is too late for that now, there are just too many enhancements that have been made to the genre since Warcraft II that Blizzard has simply ignored.
