There is an update over at the official Neocron site about the game status:
At long last, after some very busy weeks, another site update. As most of you probably know by now, the release of Neocron has been postponed to Q1 of 2002. This will give us time which we intend to use for additional testing of features we’d like to see in the game at release and to ensure a stable and entertaining product in the end.
The beta server is unavailable to our testers right now. This is because it has already been updated to run with the client for beta stage 3, which makes it impossible to use with the beta 2 client. The confirmation process for our current beta testers who want to be in the next stage is coming along nicely, and manufacturing of the beta 3 CDs should begin soon. There might be a little delay in manufacturing the CDs and delivering them to the testers though, so the launch for stage 3 of the test is still two weeks from now. (This means “two weeks until you will have the CDs on your desks”). This is due to us not wanting our testers to be forced to download tons of patches right away.
In other news the site was updated again, this includes the FAQ as well as the fansite / clansite links. Some links which no longer worked were removed. Added was the site to a german clan named Lambda Team. Check them out. Furthermore the Beta page was updated, the information for beta testers which could be found there was removed because it is mostly obsolete by now or can be found on our secured beta site, which only beta testers can access.
Last but not least a new page was added to the site, its linked in the navigation bar under Contact us . Besides the usual information on how to reach us by email etc this is the place for people who want their fansites / clansites added to our link listings. Just go there and learn how to easily get your site linked or update your site info. |
