Here's an useful mod for the new expansion:
In Bloodmoon, you'll find yourself doing a lot of running back and forth between the north and south parts of the island. There's very little fast travel available on Solstheim, so this mod seeks to address that... with some limitations, designed to encourage foot exploration in the early game while speeding things up later on.

This mod adds two new docks and shipmasters to the island of Solstheim. The Skaal dock is on the coast just northwest of the Skaal village; the Thirsk dock is on the coast directly east of Thirsk. There's also a new service enchanter near the Skaal dock.

You can travel to these locations any time from Fort Frostmoth or Raven Rock. The local shipmasters, though, will only be able to take you back under certain conditions.

The Skaal shipmaster is a Skaal, and will only talk to you (and transport you) if you are on good terms with the Skaal. Moreover, he is a fisherman, and will be out fishing in the morning if the weather is good. His wife is an enchanter; visit her in the cabin by the docks.

The Thirsk shipmaster will not appear until you become Chieftain of Thirsk. If as chieftain you decide to send for mead from Skyrim, she will be away for a while on that errand. The rest of the time, she will be available to take you anywhere on Solstheim or even to Dagon Fel. She also has a tiny quest for you, and an interesting friend you might like to meet.
