Divinity is skill based and Lar just popped by and gave us some extra info on those:There are skills in which you on first sight won't be interested in because they don't look so powerful. After all, the amount of skillpoints you can spend is limited, and you want to build up your character to be a real powerdude. One of these skills is wizard's eye. It allows you to see areas of the map which you previously hadn't explored yet (so it gets rid of the fog of war for a short period of time), and it allows you to look through the roof. Now, on its own, the skill isn't so special - after all, eventually you will reach the unexplored area so if you manage to control your curiousity, you might think you don't really need it. However, when combined with another skill, wizard's eye becomes really powerful. That skill is telekinesis which allows you to use/pick up objects which you normally could't reach. The only conditions on telekinesis are that the object have to be within a certain radius, and that you can actually see the object on your screen. So the link becomes obvious - if you want to steal something from a locked house for instance, cast wizard eye on the house so that you can look through the roof, then cast telekinesis and pick up the stuff you want. I kinda like it |
