|PC.IGN has previewed Micro Forte's futuristic MMORPG Citizen Zero.
Here's an interesting bit:
In fact, one of the bigger draws of the engine is that the size of crowds without the risk of serious lag or chop is pretty damn big. They're aiming to be able to fit around 1,000 people in the same place at the same time. Hopefully this will mean some creative uses in both Citizen Zero and any other titles using the technology for some good old fashioned riots in the middle of a populated city. The thought of it makes me all squishy inside. Other ideas I've seen and heard for the technology include meetings for the bigger clans and events such as rock concerts and spectator sports (those kinds of things that aren't really necessary for a normal single player game, but add much more realism and attraction to a massive world).
