There is a new Gothic 2 modification in the making which is called Legend of Ahssun. Judging by the age of the web site, the modification is only three months old, but there are already some screenshots available. The site is also very oftenly updated, which speaks in favour of the project's seriousness. Head on to their site for more info, but beware, as it is entirely in German...

Also, it seems that the project started off as a pure Gothic modification, but as it turned out that the Mod Kit is being released soon, it has become a Gothic 2 one.
