Chris Gray from Headfirst Studios explains the feedback system in RPG Vault's Call of Cthulhu Sneak Peek #3.Projected to ship late this year through the auspices of publisher Bethsoft, the game promises to combine aspects of action and adventure with a chilling environment wherein the sense of fear is heightened by the absence of a permanent on-screen interface, forcing you to rely upon more intuitive methods to assess health, ammunition levels and other information. Alone or in groups, enemies will track you. They won't be stopped by simply closing doors, and brute force alone won't guarantee your survival - you'll have to out-smart them. And the dangers won't all be external; the bizarre, horrific events around you will also threaten your very sanity. As we await the chance to experience this foreboding, macabre world for ourselves, Producer Chris Gray tells us how we'll be able to know the player character's physical condition without the usual on-screen devices. |
