You may notice scores for the Dot-hack series dipping on the whole, but it's not because the new chapters are somehow declining in quality - it's simply that players are becoming accustomed to the episodic approach. And since no new mechanics have really been added from one iteration to the next, the fact that so many have stuck with Dot-Hack long enough to become "accustomed" to it at all really says something about its quality.
