Adrenaline Vault has posted a review of Anarchy Online: Shadowlands. The final score is 4/5 and here's a snip:
Like most MMORPGs out there, Shadowlands demands patience and practice for players to get the most out of its gameplay, something that can be difficult for those weaned on real-time strategy or first-person shooters. One gripe I have had about RPGs in the past is how slow and repetitive it can be to go around and kill random monsters over and over until you get enough money to buy decent weapons or reach a higher experience level. Unfortunately, this pretty much described my single-player experience with Shadowlands during the first 10 to 20 hours, though things did improve considerably from there, especially once the multiplayer elements kicked in.
