VGH: So how did you get the job many gamers across the land would quit their jobs to have?

MD: I wrote for an EQ fansite called Mobhunter. Despite probably making the game designers cringe on several occasions, they were nice enough to invite me out for a fansite event. I met many members of the EQ team, including Rod Humble. Rod passed my name on to the EverQuest II team when they were looking for a community manager, so they brought me out for an interview.
