C&VG have interviewed unnamed Troika staff about their White Wolf-based CRPG, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines currently in development. Here's a snip:
What has Valve Software's Source technology added to the game?

Valve Software's Source technology has given us the ability to render the dark, gothic Vampire world of Los Angeles in all its glorious detail. It's allowing us to perhaps create the best-looking RPG to date. Added to this are the facial animation capabilities, the fast-paced shooter elements and advanced physics system. We have a gameplay mechanic that's never been seen before in an RPG.

But the facial animation, over and above everything else, is the one thing that really sold us on Valve's Source technology. For an RPG, to be able to stand face-to-face with people and talk to them and see their reactions and emotions, this is really invaluable.
