He talks about the smaller, new game boxes, Independent Studios and - Serious Sam: Is it the best action game of the year? No. Is it fresh and creative? Yes. Is it fun? Heck, yeah. Is it ten times better than one would think it could be, given its humble origins? Absolutely. I have repeatedly and tiresomely written in this space about my desire for a strong indie game scene. Practically every popular medium, such as books, music, movies, comics, or theatre, has an outlet through which independent producers can create something, release it to the public on a small scale, and then (and this is the important part) break through and have their work brought to a broader audience.
