Right as the Guild Wars worldwide preview event was kicking off for the three day sprawl, Arena Net gave Filefront an opportunity to come and play the game first-hand in San Francisco.

There was a build of excitement that day, as players had been eager to get on and start battling through the PvP action of the Guild Wars realms.

“When we threw the switch [the night before] early, we had over 5,000 players within 10 minutes,” Jeff Strain, Guild Wars producer and co-founder of Arena Net. “Clearly people were sitting there pinging it and just waiting for it.”
