Damn is THIS game an original. I still enjoy playing this game now... 10 years after it's release. I absolutely LOVE the character creation of this game. |
Elder Scrolls Adventure - Redguard: 10/10 points |
Talk about an underrated classic. This game is all about stroy and originality. While I would admit that the controls could have used a little bit of work, that hardly brings down what this game acomplished. One of my all time favorites. |
Fallout - A Post Nuclear Adventure: 9/10 points |
When are we going to see Fallout 3??? I can't wait! |
Final Fantasy VII: 10/10 points |
Can anyone truely name a game that captures the epic feeling of FF VII? |
Neverwinter Nights: 5/10 points |
Weak. The engine is very nice and the implimentation of AD&D Core rules was done very well, but what about story and memorable NPC's? Totally missing here. Furthermore, the Aurora toolset is nice, but I have yet to see someone fully take use of it. |
Planescape: Torment: 10/10 points |
As far as story goes, this game has never been matched. Everything about this game is unique. |
Quest for Glory 1 - So You Want to be a Hero?: 9/10 points |
One of the great classics here. Probably also the only series to successfully combine Adventure and RPG with an emphasis on Adventure. Truely a classic. |
Quest for Glory 2 - Trial by Fire: 9/10 points |
Work of art. Even in EGA. |
System Shock 2: 10/10 points |
This is seriously the best game I have ever played. I was genuenly scared throughout most of it. The level of immersion in the game world is astounding. Damn I hope a part 3 is in the works. |
Ultima 6 - The False Prophet: 10/10 points |
Ultima at its best. |
Ultima 7 - Serpent Isle (Sequel): 10/10 points |
I wish I could give this game 11 becaue I already game Ultima 7: The Black Gate a 10! This game improved on every element of Black Gate, but still was true the the Ultima formula. |
Wizardry 7 - Crusader of the Dark Savant: 9/10 points |
This is the Hard-core RPG fans dream-come-true. Much better than Wiz 8 IMO. |
Wizardry 8: 8/10 points |
Great core RPG, but a little bit weak on story. Probably one of the best combat systems I have ever used though. I wasn't a fan of how the enemies got stronger and stronger with you. It just didn't seem realistic and I never got to enjoy the satisfaction of having a truely strong party unless I wanted to beat up a town. |
