Once referred to as "Gaia's Promise" for its rich soil and lush vegetation, Saragosa was almost a paradise, and its people knew peace under the rule of the good King Faerborn. Then three greedy monarchs from other lands discovered its vast resources. Their own lands had been depleted by warring amongst them, and they sought to renew their resources by despoiling Saragosa. As the Four King's War raged, King Faerborn brokered a truce between their nations before they destroyed each other. The land was restored, and Saragosa entered a new golden age under its wise king.
