RPG Vault has posted an interview with WildTangent's Senior Engineer & Associate Producer Travis Baldree about 'FATE'...
For as long as anyone can remember, the Dungeon Gate has beckoned the strong and daring to see and explore what lies in the depths of the foreboding underground realm beyond its doors. Innumerable adventurers have accepted the challenge, passing through to seek fame and prosperity. Some have returned in triumph. Others escaped with their lives, while the truly unfortunate were never seen again. Located by the entrance, the peaceful community of Grove is where expeditions are planned and final preparations are made. Its cozy inn offers a warm fire to welcome weary travelers. Within, the bards' songs and storytellers' sagas celebrate the legendary heroes of the past and their valiant deeds. A lengthy journey has brought you and your faithful companion to this little town. You're fatigued, but also keen to learn what destiny has in store for you.

Announced in March Fate is a fantasy-themed fusion of action RPG and adventure from the Wild Studios division of WildTangent, a company that has primarily focused on the burgeoning market for casual games distributed via the Internet. This title aims to offer a friendly entry point for that audience while also providing sufficient depth and replayability to interest more serious gamers. Among its notable features is highly accessible hack and slash play, with lots of creatures to face and huge numbers of items for treasure hunters to find. A helpful and fun element is the presence of a pet dog or cat that can temporarily transform into various other creatures like a Gargoyle, Basilisk or Wyvern. With the game targeted for release this month, we recently managed to get hold of three team members to tell us more about it.
