We've been following Daemonica at AdventureDot (and will continue future coverage there) but there is a (very) light smattering of RPG elements in this horror action/adventure, so I thought it might be worth one mention. Here's the Gold announcement:Montreal, Canada. March 9, 2006 - Game publisher, Meridian4 and game developer, RA Images, with cooperation from producer, Cinemax are pleased to announce that their highly anticipated upcoming Adventure; Daemonica has gone gold. Daemonica is scheduled for release to retail stores on March 28th, 2006.
“We are extremely pleased how the North American press and the gaming community have enjoyed previewing Daemonica. With its unique blend of RPG style and mixture of Adventure and Action, this murder mystery is a stand out title,” said Andrew Sher, CEO at Meridian4, “We are excited to see the title released to retail and online this month.”
Daemonica will be available in retail stores and online after March 28th at a suggested retail price of $29.99. This title has been rated T for Teen by the ESRB.
About Daemonica
Daemonica is an intriguing 3D interactive murder mystery that offers everything that adventure gamers appreciate - immersive storyline with unexpected twists, extensive dialogues with believable characters, puzzles and both mandatory and optional quests.
Set in the medieval England it tells a story of Nicholas Farepoynt, an investigator who can talk to the Dead. Throughout the game you will explore the gloomy surroundings of the slowly dying city of Cavorn, make sacrifices, talk to both living and dead characters, fight and punish those who deserve it, gather information, collect herbs and make potions to enhance your senses and slowly discover what role you play in all of this. As you strive to solve the murder of a young girl, more dead appear and the town starts to slowly slip into insanity. A grim, long-forgotten secret, something that should never see the light of day again slowly awakes...
