1Up has posted a rather refreshing interview with Titan Quest writer, Randall Wallace, regarding his contributions to the game. Wallace is best known for his Hollywood script writing for Braveheart and Pearl Harbor.
1UP: Your movies have featured very strong characters. How does Titan Quest develop its character in a framework where the audience -- the player -- expects to feel more "freedom" in what happens?
RW: Here is where movies and games diverge -- in a film story the main character is, well, the main character -- he or she is the one we portray, the one who reflects the most emotion, the most light. In Titan Quest the main character is the player, but all the supporting characters are the ones who give the story energy and unique flavor, and it's a huge responsibility to make sure the dialogue for those characters is driving the player through the story.
