Nemesis, Community and Content Manager for Reakktor Media's Neocron, has posted some info about the selection of betatesters for beta 3 at the official forums:
First of all it's nice to see that most people seem to have no major problems with Neocron being delayed a bit. :)
Second, I hope you all realize that a MMORPG is never really complete, neither in terms of content nor in terms of bugs. Of course we will do what we can to ensure a product that's as close to bugfree as possible. But even if there were none at all at launch time - in a MMORPG you change something, add a new feature maybe, and in no time you got new bugs where you never expected them to pop up.
Last but not least, the selection of new beta testers will happen like this: first we will determine how many of the current beta testers are still interested in continuing with the test (don't worry, we won't look at logfiles or something, but instead ask you directly ;) ). Then we will ship the beta 3 client to those who want to go on. Then stage 3 will begin. And THEN we will start inviting new testers to the beta test (probably right in the week when stage 3 launches, but not sooner, just so you're not wondering).
