Jeremy Soule seems to be out and about of late with a second interview at GameSpy. Soule's latest effort is, of course, Oblivion:GameSpy: How did you start doing music for video games?
Jeremy Soule: It was literally my first paying job. Well, beyond the usual high school-type jobs. I was working at Squaresoft at about nineteen. I had submitted my portfolio to both LucasArts and Squaresoft, and I don't believe LucasArts ever listened to my package (I think they have a "no unsolicited package" policy), but Squaresoft listened to it, and they just happened to be looking for a composer at the time. The URL points to a Guild Wars thing, so don't be surprised if the link breaks. |
