Gamer's Pulse has previewed the sequel to Turbine's/Microsoft's popular MMORPG. The article is, of course, based on the editor's impressions of the game at E3 which ended on Friday.

Here's an excerpt:
I am pleased to report that combat is getting a bit of an overhaul. All the various disciplines have special maneuvers in combat rather than just the mages choosing spells while fighters whack at the bad guy. These special moves directly relate to the skills mentioned above. Even more interesting though is the fact that visual cues will be used to let you know if a monster is vulnerable to specific style of attack. Character and NPC monsters will reflect damage on their models as well, making the numbers and combat reports less necessary (they can be turned off entirely if you wish). Mages will no longer have to deal with spell components, as the spells will be available as soon as they have the requisite skills. Also, stamina and mana have been combined into a single category, which is probably good news for spell casters, as stamina always seemed to regenerate so much faster than mana in AC1.
