Desslock E3 Editorial

Desslock has posted an editorial: “Battle of the E3 RPGs", a virtual showdown
between what he believes were the best 5 RPGs of the E3. Here is a snippet:

This year's E3 was an abysmal show for PC sim, adventure and sports games, but it was also a surprisingly great show for first-person shooters, strategy games and RPGs. It was also a banner year for massively multiplayer online RPGs, as ANARCHY ONLINE, SHADOWBANE and DARK AGES OF CAMELOT all had significant exhibits as the trio vie to be the second generation MMORPG that displaces current online gaming king EVERQUEST. EVERQUEST creator Verant certainly wasn't passively waiting to be dislodged, as the company unveiled both an impressive EQ expansion, LUCLIN, and the most impressive game of entire E3, STAR WARS GALAXIES.
