An update of the Systems Overview series has been posted on the Boundless Adventures site. The most recent post ispart three on the Trade Skill system to be used in the game, and covers some of the larger aspects of trade - building structures.
Generally, trade skills are seen as a single person performing a single task. However, some tasks, such as the building of a structure, may take many people using many skills. This section deals with the coordination and implementation of such matters.
Due to the size of certain trade skill items, some items can not be created alone. Items such as large buildings, construction tools, siege equipment, large ships, etc. will require multiple entities to work together at the same time to create the selected item.
The construction of buildings and other large structures builds on the concepts of the massive item combinations. In the case of large buildings and structures an additional element of complexity is added. The builder needs to match a sufficient supply of building tools and materials with a sufficiently large workforce to get it done.
