GamesDomain has also done a preview of the XBox version of Morrowind (together with the PC preview), and it is hard to find a difference between these two previews. The screenshots differ, yes :-). Again, here's a snippet:
Bethesda is anxious for us to keep the details of character creation to ourselves, so we won't spoil your fun. We'll just say there is a huge choice of races (human and non-human) and classes (you can even define your own). The game starts as your character is thrown off a prison ship onto the island of Morrowind, with nothing but some plain clothes and a letter from the Emperor to your name.
And from there... well, it's pretty much up to you. You start in a small village, with a few houses, a shop, a lighthouse and some other odds and sods. There are NPCs wandering all over the place -- villagers, guards and so on -- and you can engage any of them in conversation. In doing so, you'll find that one of them has lost a valuable magic ring, which you just happen to have found during the character creation process. Do you give it to him? As with so many things in Morrowind, it's entirely up to you. |
