The mailbox contained a message on the new patch for the beta of Fighting Legends today. Here is the intro:
The New Patch Is Here! The servers will be down for a few hours for minor maintenance and patch installation. Note, a complete character wipe is necessary. We’re sorry for the inconvenience but many of the updates are to the characters themselves and this could not be implemented on existing characters. When the servers are back up, it’s a whole new gaming experience!
Ok, and for those of you who would like to know what it is they changed. I'll give you all the messy details now:
    Functionality
  • If all the characters in your tribe are dead then your tribe cannot change zones.

  • Power names are now displayed when the mouse is held over them in the base GUI.

  • A working trade dialog has been implemented.(while non-aggro mode target the person and hit 't')

  • Targeting modes (agro, peaceful) have been reworked to function off of a toggle key.('q' key)

  • Unloaded characters are now displayed as flies instead of rin axemen.

  • Characters of equal level have a chance of missing each other. This probability to hit is affected by the difference in the characters’ abilities and level.

  • The console now has a background color that is configurable through the \bgcolor command.

  • There are now safe-zones that players cannot attack each other in. (the core zones)

  • Two commands have been added which should now be used to logoff instead of \quit. The \camp command will initiate a 30-second countdown in which you cannot move at the end of which you will be properly disconnected from the game world. The \campquit command will do the same thing except it will quit the game where the \camp command would have stopped. Using the \quit command to logout will leave your character in the game world for a small amount of time during which you can be attacked or healed or whatever.

  • The login process and interface have been revamped. That screen lists out the ping and number of players on each server.

  • The \ooc command is used to send chat messages to the zone you’re in. This chat command should be reserved for sending messages that are considered to be “out of character”.

  • You now get loot from player characters when you kill them.

  • Each action in the game now has an individual range and general probability to hit or miss.

  • Now when the base is up you may not move your tribe over 100m from your base. Also, you cannot move any individual unit any further than 100m from your tribe.

  • When targeting someone’s tribe, if it contains more than one unit and the game will not display a life bar for them where the target name is displayed.

  • The levels that you can make heroes at have been changed.

  • The levels that you receive pebbles at have been changed.

  • Tekniq units now have to use more mana for their actions.

  • Now, if your base is destroyed, it will resurrect itself in 10000 milliseconds. That countdown will reset itself if you zone before it is done. Also, when you base is destroyed, you now lose all your collected relics, heroes, and items.

  • Now, when units that use mana for actions rise up in level, their mana increases slightly.

  • All constructed items (buildings, units) have had their production times decreased. They should build faster now.

  • Content
  • All zones are now finished and active.

  • All NPCs are now finished and active.

  • The list of powers that your main character can obtain has been redone and is likely to be redone again.

  • All units can now core up to 3. All unit types for every clan receive 8 actions each as well.
