There's an interesting preview of Morrowind at Xen Gamers - interesting because it is rather negative (yes, you got it - negative). Take this summary for example:
Morrowind has the potential to be a truly epic RPG as possibilities for both character creation and number of story arcs are endless. Console gamers that thought Shenmue was liberating haven’t seen anything yet. Players are free to choose their own destiny, but regrettably this freedom has a price. A dated graphics engine, a suffocating amount of text, and sloppy combat controls need some attention or else they’ll do a great deal of damage to the game’s overall enjoyment.
Sometimes it is hard to stay neutral when reporting news, and forgive me when I don't do it now *g*: Can't say anything about combat controls - but a DATED graphics engine? Are they kidding?
