GameBiz's Robert Cumine presents his most promising preview re THQ's upcoming "Titan Quest"...
When the player starts the game, they will just name their character and select male or female, and start to play. There will be 25 different character classes, both male and female, and players can combine classes. As the player plays the game, they will be able to select one of their mini-classes when they first level up their character, and their second mini-class later in the game. Depending on your preferred style of combat, your character will gain skill points that can be assigned any way you like. Stats are increased as in most RPGs, and skill points are also acquired as in most games.
A flexible class system allows almost limitless ways for the player to develop their character. Skills can be customized in many ways, and never become obsolete. You may also choose to focus on several skills, increasing their stats every time you earn enough points, which may lead to creating some very powerful skills and spells. With addictive, fast action gameplay and tons of unique loot, epic gaming has never been so good. |
