Enilno Fact Sheet
Parcival, 2003-08-07

Enilno will recreate Ultima 2 with a revived and enlarged plot. For Richard Garriot, the first three ultima's were very much a learning experience. Looking back on them, they have inconsistencies with the later ultima's and many anachronistic elements. Enilno tells a story that matches the over all story line for the ultima series.

Engine

Enilno will use its own real time, 3d engine. (No need for NWN, DS or MW, just get it and play.)

Story and background

The original Ultima 2 took place on earth and contained space travel. Enilno will have no earth and no space section. Enilno's story will take place on Sosaria during the time of Minax and will reveal what happened there after Mondain's death. The story will begin in the castle of Lord British in Brittannia. What will unfold afther that is still unknow (to us) although it is sure that the political background will play an important role. On the Enilno forums there were some interesting threads regarding the map of Sosaria and the use of Moongates and Time Doors. Although there is a map shown on the site, there are many details on the lay out of Sosaria that might change. Moongates will probably not be used.

Progress

The main lay-out of the plot has been done. At the moment they are working steadily on the engine. They give no indication on an expected release date.Team A nine headed team is lead by the project leader Enildo Sage. Sage is considered to be the Ultima Expert. They seem to have a small but well-balanced team.

Website

Their website contains a faq as well as some sample screenshots and text excerpts. If you have questions regarding Enilno, their forums are the place to be. There are quite of interesting discussions to be read already and most of the time, you'll have a prompt response on threads you post.
