GameSpy takes a look at the big RPG releases coming up this Fall. There's some obvious omissions with Vampire: Bloodlines, Dungeon Lords and KotOR2 getting a plug:Bloodlines, the second RPG created based on White Wolf's game of gothic horror, places the game into a dark, twisted, noir-ish version of Los Angeles (yes, it's even scarier than the real city) as a young vampire on a quest to claim his right to exist in the Byzantine world of vampire politics -- and possibly save a world on the edge of Apocalypse. While the game is built on the guts of an FPS engine and is played from a first-person perspective, Troika is eager to reassure gamers that Bloodlines is a true RPG where your statistics and your ear for dialogue will be more important than your reflexes. Unless of course, you're a fair hand with a handgun, in which case the player's stats can be adapted to let him or her shoot his way through the game in display of bloody carnage worthy of... well, Half-Life 2.
