A score of 7/10 is the result of Loadedinc's 'Lord of the Rings: The Third Age' review for XBox.
EA abruptly shifted gears when they decided to make the third installment of its Lord of the Rings console franchise a turn-based RPG. It came as a surprise to me since the first two games are pure hack n' slash action games and EA is a relative newcomer when it comes to turn-based games. On the other hand, offering a completely different type of gameplay from the first two games makes complete sense when it comes to trying to keep the series interesting. Does EA succeed? Let's find out.
